Tax Deadlines

Key tax deadlines & important dates.

The dates below repeat every year. When a deadline falls on a weekend or federal holiday, it moves to the next business day — so the exact day can shift by a day or two in any given year.

Iowa filers: a different deadline

Iowa gives individual filers extra time — the Iowa return is generally due April 30, about two weeks after the federal deadline. Don't let the extra time cause a miss: we file both together so nothing slips.
